Day 3 - (Day 43) - Why wait until New Years Day to change your habits?

According to fsunews.com, 80% of New Year's resolutions fail by the 2nd week of February. Interesting - that is about 40 Days. This is why we need to plan for that next 40 Day Plan during the last 5 days of our last 40 Day Plan. Set the next 40 days to have incremental improvement over the previous 40 days. Many of us are waiting to get through the holidays, and then New Years and then the first full week of January. We just missed out on 3 weeks of getting back to our goals rather than feeling sorry for ourselves because we gained another 10 pounds on top of our COVID-15 pounds. Why wait? Get into your habits now. Second big reason that New Year's resolutions fail...we set the big goal...but without the little goals to get there. For example, I have a goal to run a half-marathon in 2021. I am purposely using the Push Up and stretching program to get back into shape. I plan to start running outside again after I complete the next 40 Day Plan. By this time, the weather will start improving, but I will also have more muscle tone and flexibility from the Push Up program that I am on. Set each 40 Day program to get you towards your Big Goal. Here are my basic exercise plans for 2021. Program 2 - Finish the 2nd 40 Day Program, with 80 push ups per day by January 20th. Program 3 - Finish the 3rd 40 Day Program, with 120 push ups per day by March 1st. Walk a 3K. Program 4 - Finish the 4th 40 Day Program, with 160 push ups per day by April 10th. Run a 5K. Program 5 - Finish the 5th 40 Day Program, with 200 push ups per day by May 20th. Run a 10K. Program 6 - Finish the 6th 40 Day Program, with 240 push ups per day by June 29th. Run a 15K. Program 7 - Finish the 7th 40 Day Program, with 280 push ups per day by August 8th. Run a half marathon. No gym required.
